My PC 5K Run
A NON-PROFIT HEALTH CLINIC SERVING HABERSHAM COUNTY, GEORGIA
This is a fundraiser for the benefit of Grace Gate Inc. This event is the best of both worlds. For the more serious competitor, this event is timed. You will know how well you did for time against the pack. However, this is also a "Fun Run". Run, walk, stroll... what ever your pleasure. Most importantly, have fun and "do good" through your registration and donations to Grace Gate Inc.
Get others to sponsor you as you raise funds for Grace Gate Inc. Use the sponsor form to record their donation and sponsorship. The top three sponsored runners will be recognized.
Do I have to run? There are plenty of other great 5ks out there to test speed and performance. While we offer a timed event, this is also about having fun. You can run, walk, stroll, or cartwheel it if you wish!
What to Wear? - A white t-shirt is recommended. There is no "race" t-shirt. As color powder can have an effect, we recommend clothing that can be easily washed.
Will the colors ruin my clothes or shoes? - The “color” mostly washes out after the event. However as with anything dirty, the sooner the gear gets washed the better. Dust off all excess powder before washing with water. Wash your color run gear separately and use cold water. Oxiclean, or a similar product, will work wonders.
Can I save the colors on my shirt? - If you would like to preserve the color in your running shirt, we suggest spraying it with vinegar and ironing it when you get home. This is the most likely way the shirt will retain its coloring.
How does the color affect the inside of cars? You went all out, you’re covered in color and if you don’t take precautions, your car will be too. Bring some towels and garbage bags for the insides of your car to cover the seats before you sit down. It’s like driving home from the swimming pool in your swimsuit:)
You’ll want your memories of this color run to stay with you forever. But if you want the color to wash out of your hair and skin ASAP, here are a few tips...
You just ran the craziest 5k of your life! Congratulations. You deserve a nap. But not quite yet. Take a few minutes to clean up or color might end up all over your house!
Every so often you may look down a see a little trace of pink on your shoe and smile. It’ll remind you that we love you. Eventually, it’ll all be gone.
